New Russian Textbook
My friend sent it to me. This is excerpt from a recently published new Russian textbook for a 5th grade “Introduction into Society Studies” class. It was written by two PhD’s. This is not a joke but I almost died laughing.
“Approximately 10-12 million years ago, under the conditions of the most severe drought, some of the large apes were forced to master coastal zone. First they collected mollusks, fish and other "gifts of sea". In the course of time these apes began to enter water increasingly further from the coast, to float, to dive for the purpose of the procurement of food, so straight gait began to be developed in them. (from the diving! - DL) Since in the water their eyes saw badly, apes began to be developed the sensitivity of tips of their fingers. After an enormous number of years from a prolonged stay in salt water these apes lost the large part of the thick hair cover. And this is not all. In view of some, until unknowns, reasons some apes return to the land means of life. Others so were adapted to the life in the sea that they remained there forever and they became dolphins "”
